Carrying the theme “United Communities and Synergy for a Peaceful and Progressive Indonesia,” the event was attended by the Regent of Bireuen, H. Mukhlis St, along with the Bireuen Regency Government officials, religious leaders, community figures, and representatives of social and humanitarian organisations committed to fostering interfaith harmony.
In an atmosphere marked by reverence and spiritual reflection, Amal Bakti Day was understood not merely as a ceremonial event, but as a moral reminder that the foundations of the Indonesian nation have, from the very beginning, been rooted in faith, brotherhood, and a spirit of service to others. These values remain essential in nurturing diversity and preserving the unity of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia.
In his address, Regent of Bireuen H. Mukhlis St emphasised that interfaith harmony is a strategic pillar of national development. According to him, social stability and regional progress can only be achieved when society is grounded in faith, justice, and mutual respect amid differences.
“Development should not be measured solely by physical and economic achievements, but by the extent to which religious values shape a harmonious, ethical, and caring society,” the Regent stated.
On the same occasion, the Chairman of Relawan Peduli Rakyat Lintas Batas (Volunteers Caring for People Across Borders), Arizal Mahdi, underscored that the spirit of Amal Bakti Day aligns closely with humanitarian missions that transcend regional boundaries, ethnic backgrounds, and social distinctions. He noted that acts of service and devotion represent the practical application of religious teachings in national life.
“Amal bakti is the universal language of faith. When the state, society, and volunteers move forward with sincere intentions, the presence of the state is truly felt by the people,” Arizal Mahdi remarked.
He further called on all elements of the nation to strengthen national synergy among government institutions, religious scholars, community leaders, and volunteers in addressing social challenges, poverty, and inequality, by placing divine and humanitarian values at the centre of collective action.
The commemoration concluded with a joint prayer, seeking Allah SWT’s blessings for Indonesia to be granted lasting unity, trustworthy leadership, and a national life that is peaceful, just, and prosperous.
The 80th Anniversary of Amal Bakti Day reaffirmed that Indonesia’s future is built not only through policies and institutions, but through sincerity of faith, devotion to service, and the unity of its people in upholding the dignity of the nation.
